Cool Saving the TOAD battery

We tow our '08 RAV4 behind our Monaco Vacationer. I have always disconnected the battery after placing the transmission in neutral and the key in the 'ACC' position. Well, while getting our unit serviced at 'RV SERVICES' (828 553-7111) in ASHEVILLE, NC owner Mark Coyne gave me a very helpful hint. You DO NOT have to disconnect the battery. Put the key in the ignition but leave it OFF position. Depress the transmission selector lever release button with a screwdriver or other object that will fit into the slot, and move the lever to NEUTRAL. As long as the key is in the ignition the steering wheel will be UNLOCKED. This works like a charm and NO MORE BATTERY DISCONNECTING!

BY the way, for excellent customer, patronize DIESEL EQUIPMENT CO in Greensboro, NC. They have excellent customer service and their prices are extremely competitive.
