My advice is to ask this question of Scion, send them an email and then SAVE their response! I did this before I bought my Subaru, I have an email from the Customer Service department saying it's all good, if it's a manual trans. I knew they were ok to tow, but given other manufacturers' retractions on towing, (Ford Escape?), I think it's a good idea to keep their response for your records.
