I went to the scale before & after I loaded the scooters. I weighed the front, rear and total. The total and rear readings went up 500LBS and the front was 400LBS lighter because of the leverage effect. I will post how it handles when I get back from FL.

I recently returned from FL and I must say I was a bit concerned about hauling 2 scooters on a hitch carrier after all the comments I recieved on earlier posts.
The scooters are just under 500lbs combined. I absolutly could not feel one bit of difference in handeling. If I didn't have a rear camera I would not have known they were there. This may not be the case for everyone. I only have a 35' Pace Arrow ( a 38' may make a difference because of the added overhang) I also have a substantialy beefed-up hich. I have been told factory hitches are fairly whimpy. My good experence may also be because of the carrier I used. http://www.gc-carriers.com
I traveled around 3,000 miles and some of the roads were not the best, even then I never felt any effects on the RV.
I will post some pictures later.
The scooter brand is called Tank, if you want to see them I started a post on how I bought and assembled them, you can follow this link
http://www.americinnwillmar.com/rvpictures.htm at the very bottom there are 2 pictures of the scooters loaded on the back of my RV.
