Selling 2007 Saturn & buy 2013 Outback. Will Blue Ox/Brake Buddy work for both?

Need help with a couple of questions.

I have a Saturn Vue 2007 fitted with a Blue Ox Base Plate/Arms and Brake Buddy system. I am trying to sell the Saturn for $8,850 which has been a great dedicated tow vehicle. I am offering it with the towing system or without.

If I end up keeping it the question is will this tow system work with a new 2013 Subaru Outback. I plan to use it both as primary driver and also tow vehicle.

I paid over $3,000 for this tow/brake system when I purchased my RV . If I sell the braking system used (less than two years old) what is it worth to a new buyer.

Dealer tells me it will cost $1,200 for a new base plate for the Subaru. Have not checked the price for new arms and Brake Buddy.

The tow bars and the Brake Buddy should work just fine. It's doubtful, however, that the baseplate could be used as they're vehicle-specific.

You might want to check with Blue Ox to see what they have to say.

Bought a 2013 Outback and Blue ox supplied the base plate.
It is vehicle specific.
It was certainly different from the one on the traded 1999 Outback
The new one completely disappeared ( well almost) when not in use.

The base plate was less than $470 and the fitting including wiring harness was $650
I had mine done in Whitefish Montana
All the bits that hang off the motor home are not changed at all. It took 4 hrs to fit and drive/ tow away
