Set a Ford Edge to tow

Hello members,
Hopefully the member that had set up his Ford Edge to be towed will see this request. Would appreciate any and all info for setting up an 08 Edge. Do I need a shop to set the car up IE disconnecting speedometer, drive shaft. I had a coach and towed a Toyota SR5 10 years ago but then had to put in a spring loaded cable to disconnect the drive shaft and it was a pain. Thank you for any and all info.
