First time towing our car on a tow dolly to camp. We reserved a pull through site. I assume just reversing the loading/hook up process needs to be done before leveling and hooking up, or is there other considerations to be taken?
Thanks for your ideas/suggestions

If using the car at the destination, why not unload the dolly before going to the assigned spot? We unload where there is extra room and not blocking the lanes at the spots. Also makes a better first impression on neighbors to arrive with little or no fanfare.

For us, unloading the dolly is just the reverse of loading...so EZE

If not using the car (just a quick overnight) and have a long enough pull-through spot - we don't even unload. Our dolly can rise or fall at the tongue a good amount with the levelers.

I don't look at unloading you towed to be "fanfare". It' just part of traveling and staying the night. If we're just staying the night and we were in a pullthrough (we almost always get a back in site) I wouldn't even bother unhooking unless we needed to go eat or something.

For some folks, loading/unloading the toad might be best described as a comedy routine

Add urgency with a tight spot or traffic on a narrow lane at the campsite and it gets even funnier. Just some of the things we have all seen

We generally unload our dolly before checking in and heading to our spot. While we usually reserve pull-through sites that we know can handle our length, getting to the spot can be tricky. Sometimes for the pull-through you have to go down one street and do a hairpin turn to come up another street in the proper direction. It's easier to navigate with the unloaded dolly. Also, depending on the hookups, the DW might either park the towed in front or behind after I've settled in the site.

If a pull through, I pull in with the car and leave the dolly attached to the coach when the car is removed. Some places won't allow this and require the car to be removed prior to going to the camp site and doing so without the dolly that must be stored elsewhere. If an overnight stop, car and dolly remain in place.

If its a one night stand and its a pull thru and there is room, I just leave mine attached (4 down or dolly). I don't use my dolly to often, I prefer to tow my Honda which I tow 4 down.

If I use the dolly, the cars I tow all have a trailer hitch so I can always drag the dolly behind the car.

If I know I'll need to disconnect, I generally unhitch as I'm checking in, again make sure I'm not blocking traffic.

Nope, reversing the process is just fine.

Thanks everyone! for all the suggestions it helped with first time apprehension. It did help that the campground assigned us to a 90' pull through. Leveling was nothing out of the ordinary hooked up which i thought was a concern. I appreciate everyones input.
