Setting up Toyota RAV4 for Flat Tow

We are currently getting a lube pump installed in our 2007 RAV4 to enable it to be flat towed (along with the baseplate and other necessary systems).
Can someone tell me about the setup procedure for towing?
Does the ignition need to be in the accessory position or does it need to be in the off position while towing?

The company you bought the pump from or who ever is installing it should give you the info about how to operate the system. Probably should of just got a tow dolly and not taken a chance on wrecking the transmisson. Dave

On a 2007 RAV4 the ignition must be in ACC to release the steering interlock, all accessories must be manually turned off to reduce battery drain. The lube pump installer should wire it to be powered by the motorhome when the two are connected, make sure this is done this way.
