Short Bed vs Long Bed

We are still deciding between Class A or a Fiver. Many questions from a real
newbie.

1. What are pros and cons of small or big beds for fiver towing?
2. 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive?
3. Gas or Diesel?
4. 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton?

If we buy a fiver it will be a slightly used quality unit as much under
40 feet that still provides what we want in an RV.

Is there a pickup brand proven to be better suited for towing?

Thanks for any input,
Deane

Dean,

might want to give more detail on size and weight you expect to tow. can't answer your questions without knowing what you are hauling.

length of bed can be either. Long gives smoother ride and has less chance of hitting cab with trailer when jack knifing into site. slider hitch can sole this problem if you go short bed.

Bob,
We don't have many more detail yet. We are thinking about being on the road 7-10 days at a time right now. Our trips will be to destinations where we will stay the week then return home. We have looked for about 3 months and most units around the 8000 to 10000 pound class would work for us.
