Silverado towing help

We just purchased a 2010 Chev Silverado 1500 Ext Cab...What option (s) do I have as far as towing as I understand I cannot tow 4 down...transmission upgrade? Trailer?
I would appreciate any comments/advice/experiance

You need to give us a little more information. I am guessing this is a 2 wheel drive and not a 4 wheel drive? What transmission....etc.

Sorry....2WD, I'll have to check on transmission specifics...5.3 engine

I think a trailer is your only option. Even without the trailer, you most likely are over weight on the hitch and chassis.

I have a 2007 4 door with 155000 miles on the drive shaft disconnect
