Smart Car toad wiring
Good Afternoon
I recently got a 2013 smart car cabriolet and just got the Blue Ox baseplate on it.
Wiring tail lights next. I pulled the tail light assembly out and found an empty socket. Was told on another forum it is used in Europe for the required orange signal light. I was wondering if anyone has used this and put in a universal socket and wired it directly to the motorhome plug. It would save me the $$ putting in diodes. Seems like an easy clean way to put in the toad lights. The light circuit board is easy to see and I think I can disconnect the empty light and the ground and put it on the universal socket.
Does anyone think I would have a problem with the smart car if I did the lights that way?
Thanks
Pam
