I bought an SMI Brake Control Unit "Stay In Play" some two years ago. Everything has worked as they were supposed to until April 8, 08. I called SMI on that day and talked to Brent about my problem (no vaccum was generated by the SMI unit). He said that he would ship a brand new unit for delivery the day after. Since I was a Camp Newmar, I provided SMI with the Newmar Customer Service Lobby address. I picked up my new SMI Brake Control Unit from Louise the following day. It took less than 5 minutes to install and confirm that everything was OK. I returned the U/S unit back to SMI.

I wish to show my appreciation at SMI for standing behind their product and for providing such a fast service, a brand new replacement brake unit, within 24 hours of receiving notification of the problem. All of this took place based on a phone call. I don't know of many compagnies that would have acted in such a way as to minimize as much as possible any inconveniences that their product may have caused. We could certainly use more compagnies like SMI. SMI can be proud of their achiements.
