I was assured by SMI that their Stay-in-play duo system would be suitable for a 2008 Honda CR/V. I am unable to figure out where to place their unit under the hood (no room). They have promised twice to send pictures. None have arrived. An e-mail is unanswered. As far as I am concerned, their famed customer service in non existent.

If you want to install this system, make sure to get clear instructions for your vehicle before putting money on the line.

I just received a helpful response from Peter Schuck at SMI. He included pictures and an apology for the late response. On my side, I forgot that last week was the Easter holiday, so it is understandable that they were busy. Issue is resolved, and we are good friends again. Their reputation for good service is intact.

It is quite possible that we have a failure to communicate. But they must not be trying very hard.

Quite ironic considering they are the sponsor of this forum. I actually had quite the opposite experience with them as I mentioned on another thread you started on the same subject -- very helpful with my install. I'd give them a call on the phone and get some action if I were you.

There is an 800 number posted at the top of this page..... have you tried calling it?

If Peter and Brent are on the road, I do not know how often they have access to internet and email....

If perhaps they do not have email, then all the email in the world won't help you.
Peter and Brent travel the road a lot, to and from different meetings and shows and I know this firsthand as they did my Air Force One install in
Wyoming last year at a rally.

If you've called, then maybe call again.

I personally received a call from Peter on a Sunday, as I had left a message on the 800 number. He was traveling and gave me his cell number to call if I got
into trouble with the issue I was having with my Stay in Play at that time.

SMI's customer service in my experience was second to none.

He was installing an AF1 on my Hummer at the Good Sam Rally in Perry, GA and had a little bit of difficulty with the install. Spent more time then planned, but wanted to make sure it was done correctly. It was.

Based on my communication with Pete over the last several weeks and his competency with the installation, I would not hesitate to recommend him or his company.
