subcompact suv

We're thinking of buying a new sub compact SUV. If we could tow it behind our motorhome, that would be a plus. Anybody have any comments about ones they have or have had.

Do you want automatic or manual transmission? How new or old do you want to go?

Definately want an automatic. I've heard that you can flat tow a Honda CRV. Will have to check on that. We would prefer something in the 2-3 year old area.

In that case the Honda CRV is your best choice up to the 2014 model year, the 2015 is no longer towable. The automatic Honda H-RV is not towable.
You may want to look at the Ford Edge SUV, it may be a little larger than you want but it's an option.

Also there is the Chevrolet Traverse, again it might be larger than you want.

Most of the GM products can be towed on 4 wheels, automatic included.

Here is a document given you the towables...
