Question Supplemental Braking Effectiveness

The only toad braking system I could find that shows some form of how effective their system is, has been Unified Tow Brake. They show the distance it takes a MH to stop with and without their system towing the same toad. How do you determine how much braking it really provides prior to purchase, and is it enough for your toad ? Do the other brake systems provide this type information and I just missed it.

Some supplemental braking systems are adjustable. I have a BB Classic. Depending on the sensitivity, it actuates on the rate of deceleration. Once the rate of deceleration has decreased, the BB stops applying the brakes. On my MH & TOAD set-up, with the sensitivity is set to 4 with the 3150# TOAD, the brakes were applied, at the most I've observed, for 4 seconds during a REAL panic stop. When the BB Classics actuates the brakes, they are whole on, but I've never seen the TOAD wheels skidding. The newer BB have proportional braking, but I don't know very much about them. Hope this helps. JM2¢...
