Supplemental Braking System Which One?

I am looking for an easy setup of connecting and disconnecting a quality supplemental braking system. At the beginning I was interested in the Ready Brake, but now after doing some research, I like the SMI Stay-In-Play DUO. If you had to do it again, which one would you buy?

Yes, I would recommend SMI S-N-P. I'm very happy with their AF1.

When I do it again as a full timer who tows usually every 1-2 weeks.. Ready brake or the blue ox version of it.

IF i were still part-timing.. Gasser: US-Gear Unified Brake Decelerator
Diesel with air brakes.. IF IT FITS.. M&G (does not fit all toweds)

Take a look at the RVI2 system. Easy to use and customize for both size of toad and amount of braking you want.

SMI systems are adjustable and progressive. I am very impressed with our AF1, especially having had 2 popular, expensive, yet problematicical systems beforehand. Plus, it comes with a five year warranty.

Definitely ReadyBrake! Less expensive, simple, effective, easy to install! What more could you ask for!

We are very happy with our ReadyBrute Elite which uses the ReadyBrake. Have used it for 2 seasons and over 2000 miles and have had no concerns.

AF1 All the way

I have over 10K miles pulling two different trucks with the air force one setup and I love it. I pull a 2008 2500hd with a golf cart behind our expedition 38 b and it works flawlessly. I had pulled a 1500 suburban before that. I have been over the mountains a few times and up and down the east coast with it. Never an issue in the two years so far and when I have needed the brakes hard (like you do in D.C. traffic often) it has responded well. The only down side is that the coach side of the install is a little of putting to most people but well worth it in my opinion.

We have the RoadMaster BrakeMaster unit. Adjustable and fully proportional. Easy install IF your rig has air brakes, more complicated and more expensive for other type brakes though.

I use the RVI Brake and have used it in three different toad and two motorhomes with no problems. Easy to move or adjust to different vehicles.

I have been using the Brakemaster and have pulled coast to coast with it working well. Just replaced my tow and decided to start fresh with new heavier tow bar and the invisa brake. Mainly; because it is hidden with nothing to hook up each time and it has the ability to keep the battery charged. There is 1 electric wire that needs to be attached each time but I routed it thru the electric cord so whenever I plug that in everything is ready to go. Now the Brakemaster will be for sale! Wondering "if it ain't broke"
