Has anyone purchased and towed the new 2006 Grand Vitara? I'm interested in knowing with the changes made this year if it is a toad that we should seriously consider. With the 7 year , 100,000 mile warranty, with the V-6, the 4wd and the redesign it is worth considering. We'll be looking soon for a new vehicle. We plan to check out the Grand Vitara, Saturn Vue and Jeep Liberty. Any feedback on the Grand Vitara would be appreciated.

The Grand Vitara was worthy of serious consideration before the 2006 body redesign, so I see no reason why it is still not a major contender. As far as I know, the have done nothing to inhibit its towability (but may not have improved it any either).

I have a V6 Tracker ZR2 4WD (built by Suzuki on same line as G.V.) and good friends have a 2004 Grand Vitara V6 and we are both very happy owners. Second one for both of us.
