Smile Tandem towing a HHR Chevrolet

I realize that this subject has been discussed at length on an older thread but I was wondering if there are any recent updates with regard to dolly towing an HHR.

Some dolly's are lower then others. The owners manual does not recommend dolly towing, probably due to rear clearance and libility issues.
Rogerhome from the old series of threads stated that he had dolly towed an HHR with no problem.

I am considering dolly towing my HHR in lieu of flat towing so that I can take my Goldwing motorcycle along with the car. I normally flat tow the HHR c/w a Blue Ox Aventa tow bar & BB system.

Any new information out there about dolly towing an HHR?

Thanks, Knightly

You don't say what year the HHR is, but most are towable 4 down. Check your owners manual. No dolly would be needed.

Happy trails.

I don't think you read his post right.
He has been towing it 4 down.

He now wants info on using a tandem dolly as if there is any problem doing so.

My HHR 2008 manual says do not dolly tow it. And I think in 2009 they dropped the "Do not dolly tow" part out of the manual.

My guess is it shouldn't be a problem. Because there is no difference in height ect. from the 08 to 11 that i know of.

I have a demco SS460 and tow a 2012 VW GTI and sometimes a 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Cab and the only problem is that I need to put a 2 by 10 under the end of the ramps to keep the front end fro dragging when loading or unloading
