If I was buying a dolly, I'd want one with disk brakes because they self adjust and i'd also want a hydraulic surge type on the hitch.

The American model is electric drum brakes, either actuated by the RV brake lights or a separate controller.

The hydraulic surge is proportional as the dolly/auto pushes on the hitch. Much less complicated and less prone to issues as an electric brake system. If you must have electric brakes, I'd want disk brakes because they're self adjusting and provide more efficient braking than drum brakes.
