Tire Minder question

I have the system for our RV - I need to add our toad. In looking at Amazon, is a repeater and booster one unit? Or are they separate? I don't see a separate "repeater" sold without the whole system, but they do have a booster. I know I have to get 4 more tire duddads. Thanks, Lynn

Usually the repeater/booster is one unit. I don't know what brand of tire monitoring system you have but if you get one from the manufacturer you will be all set. You need to find a location at the rear of the MH to install it - usually a rear closet or storage cupboard with 12V power is the ideal location.

Thanks very much ... I spoke with Mike at TireMinder and ordered everything we need. I appreciate your help :-)

When I met with the Tire Minder people in Madison I was told they are now recommending two "boosters" for the longer tag axle coaches. We've always had one in the rear closet and have added one in a cupboard of the mid-bath.

We'd been having problems with false alarms until I got totally frustrated and shut down the system. While in Madison they gave me a new receiver and an additional booster. The system seems to be working fine now with the exception of a couple of the transmitters that are well outside the described margin of error for reading pressure. These are, however, first generation transmitters with five years and thousands of miles on them.
