Tires for dolly

My original Carlisle Sport Trail (bias ply) are shredding up and cracking. Time for replacement. They are 205-75-14 load range C. Any recommendations on replacement brand or type? BTW, I'm in the Fort Myers area through March, so any reasonable tire dealers in the area?

Hi,

First off I don't know any tire dealers in your area but would suggest either Camping World or a store that sells utility trailers or boat trailers.

The tires on your dolly have to be trailer tires because car tires have a weak sidewall whereas a trailer tire has a stiff wall which does not flex.

I has regular car tires on my dolly and they gave me trouble until a trailer dealer told me that I have to have trailer tires.

They also run about 35-40 lbs of air.

Go with radial STs this time. I've used Tire Kingdom for two sets of truck tires and think they're professional and competitevely priced. I think there's one in Ft. Myers.

Try Amazon.com

I got my delivered to my front door using Amazon.com.

First i priced local tire store and found I could get two tires with new rims ready to go including freight for the same price.

Check it out, good value.
