I have a 2004 Mazda Miataspeed. I want to use as a toad. Base plates are available for the Miata but not the Miataspeed. Because the car has a turbo and intercooler they will interfere with the standard installation. I think it could be done but requires some modification that I do not want to tackle at this time and can find no manufacturer that actually sells one for the mazdaspeed.
I have a 2010 Sunseeker Ford 53 chasie
I am considering a tow dolly but both road master and acme EZ tow do not recommend a rear wheel drive car towed front wheels up. I have a standard transmission.
I am considering a trailer, but have reservations about how practical it will be. I have also read post about the rear overhang on the RV causing the trailer to bottom out or drag the rear end in driveways, parking lots etc.
Just looking for some real world experience with either before I give up.

That's a great car and destined to be colectable. As a car guy, I would try to talk you out of it.
Or maybe use a dolly.
I'fe been thinking the same thing since I first read this post. If the op wants to tow a Miata, buy another "regular" Miata and tow it. I do beleive cars are to be driven not locked away, but no need to abuse a Mazdaspped by towing it.
