Rich,
One MAJOR thing to remember when charging from MH to toad, there MUST be a diode in the charge line to prevent backfeed from toad to coach. You don't want to connect them together with out the diode.

Are you going to be at the August rally? If so I'll see you there. Take care

Reported to have a backfeed diode in place plus charge limiter and cuts off automatically. Do not know yet about the August as spouse is signed up for beginning mountain dulcimer class in NC and we may be there.

Installed the Toad Charge in about an hour as it was very easy to install. Now we do not have to unhook the toad battery when on a multi drive day trip to prevent the toad's battery from dischargeing. Some Chrysler products will discharge the battery with the key in the ignition even in the off position.

The first one the company sent me was lost in the mail and they sent a duplicate promptly at no charge.

When I installed the U.S.Gear Unified Tow Brake on my toad, there was no diode for the battery charge line. A diode would have been nice. But wouldn't a diode on that line need to be rather large? I mean, we're not talking the typical tail-lite size diode right?

George,
You can figure about a 3 to 5 amp diode. There are some that are sold just for this. They are simular to the ones used for lights. They take two inputs and have one output. This way you can have two different 12v sources to light a single bulb. One source will not back feed to the other source.
