Ah, opinions! Those are easy.

For several years we had a RoadMaster BrakePro (like their current EvenBrake), one of those "pumpkin on the driver's floorboard" things. Used it on a Scion xA, then on a Mini Cooper . . . not a great fan because of the need to schlep it around, in and out, etc. Not very sophisticated braking, either, since it wasn't tied into the vacuum-assist braking function of those vehicles. Was more of a "hit the skids" kind of machine.

Now we have a RoadMaster InvisiBrake . . . SO nice! No more schlepping since it is mounted permanently. Sweet braking, too, since it is tied into the toad's vacuum-assist. Toad always brakes smoothly, whenever the brake is pressed on the motorhome. Truly proportional, too.

Downside? Well, more expensive initially. And if we decide on a different toad, will have to go thru the unwire-rewrite process. Overall worth it though.

Here goes......... Another opinion

I like the Ready Brake. It's cheap, simple, and easy to use. The weight of the toad may have to influence your decision. I tow a light vehicle and the Ready Brake works fine for me.

I love my Air Force One on my CR-V. So easy to hook-up, just plug in the air line and put brake LED on dash.

I love my InvisiBrake on my Jeep Liberty. Didn't want to have to deal with anything. Haven't had any issues at all. Did my homework for weeks before having it installed by a professional. For me it's been worth the cost.

As countless amounts of forum threads will attest to, it's READYBRAKE hands down. When someone does come up with one that claims to match it's effectiveness, you find that it's complicated and has a high cost. Complicated can also mean that you can't install it yourself during lunch, so.....

Add me to the list of happy ReadyBrute Elite owners! Simple, safe, and inexpensive, what more needs to be said?

One more vote for Air Force One if you have air brakes.
Good luck and safe travels!

This is what I installed on my Jepp Wrangler M & G Engineering - Car Braking Systems: Home Page and just love it. Just another option if they make one for your auto.

Another vote for the ReadyBrake! It's simple to install, very easy to use, not much to go wrong, and MUCH less cost than anything else out there that I know about!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
