Is it necessary to have brakes on a drive on front tire hauler. I have a Georgia Boy 37' w/8100 GM vortec. The max weight hauling is 3700 #.

Most states require brakes if weight over 2500 lbs. Most cars weigh over that. In an emergency stop situation ALL drivers hope they have brakes on their tow. I would not choose to tow without them.

Even without the legal requirement, I think you will find you will never be sorry you have that extra braking power on occasion.
