Welcome to the DP world. We made the changeover a year ago and haven’t looked back.
You will find out that everyone thinks theirs is the “best”, and that’s the way it should be.
However, do lots of research to find the best system for your use. Be aware that you will spend some $$$ for quality systems. Depending upon how mechanically inclined you are will determine the $$$ you pay for installation of these systems.
We chose the M&G brake system for our towed vehicle. After researching systems, I liked it best. In my opinion, You will find a lot more differences between brands and types of braking systems than the differences you will find between towbars.
For the towbar system, I chose the Roadmaster.
Good luck on your quest. If you research it well, you will find the best one for your needs.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
Congrats on the new rig! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!
I recommend the NSA ReadyBrute Elite towbars with built-in ReadyBrake! I went with the Roadmaster baseplate and wiring kit.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Another ready brute elite owner and think it is a simple cheaper and great towbar. I have an after market bumper and use the clevis points to tow with.

The Baystar is a gasser so the M&G isn't an option. When I got my DP, I investigated braking systems and also went with the M&G

Blue ox towbar, baseplate with charging line to toad along with stay and play braking system installed.
Love the braking setup behind our gasser. Proportional and nothing in the floor of Toad just switch on and go.
Installer also ran light for Toad brakes engaged to the dash of our coach - much easier to see than looking in backup camera.

X2 on Ready Brute Elite. I use a Currie Ent base plate. The base plate tucks up nicely behind front bumper where the plastic cover is.
