Toad information

My husband and I are just begin the process of looking for a tow car. I have an elementary question for you experts. We want a car that can be towed with four wheels down. I have looked at the Dinghy towing guides from motor home magazine. My question is, does dinghy towing mean the same as four on the ground towing. Thank you

I think "dinghy towing" is a generic term for whatever vehicle or method one uses to drag a car or truck behind their motorhome.

Within dinghy towing you would then have dolly towing, four down towing or trailer towing.

We chose a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited for the ease of connecting/disconnecting and easy DIY installation of lights and supplemental brakes. It was a great choice and after a 3,000 mile trip I was glad we chose the Jeep. One caveat however is that the Jeep is not very comfortable for long drives. After 7 hours of stop and go driving around Prince Edward Island one day, I was ready for the sofa.

Good luck in your research and in finding the perfect Toad for "you".

The guide you mentioned is more about towing 4 down. In the 2015 version page 7 has some of the highlights.
As the guide says before you purchase or tow, make sure to read the owners manual for your vehicle to confirm it is ok.
Some manufactures have also changed their guidelines after releasing the owners manual so may even want to confirm further with a dealer.
