Hey guys I wore out my first set of tires on my Saturn Vue! These are OE Firestone Destination LE tires. I have just over 36,000 miles indicated and unindicated is almost 15,000 miles towed. I'm down to 2/32" on the wear bars.

In doing research on tirerack.com for my type of vehilce, 08 Vue XE FWD, I have chosen the Goodyear Assurance ComforTred Touring. This tire is rated for 60,000 miles over 6 years. I run a 235 65R16.

They go on tomorrow morning at our local tire store and I have ruled out not Made in the USA for personal reasons.

Thanks they look awesome and ride real nice. I'm still trying to see if there's that BIG of a difference but the difference is subtle but reassuring.

We leave Sunday for Perry, GA and the FMCA Rally reassured that there's a good chance that we won't have any problems with the tires on the toad. Tomorrow I'll reinstall my TST 507 sensors and get some readings on those.

What to do with the sensors was something that I was thinking about but in a dream I expect I saw myself unscrew and place 1 sensor in each of the pockets in the doors. That worked well also while I was awake.

Now here's the rest of he story ...... Made in Canada.

I've bought a few tires in my day but today I got a little surprise. In my paperwork was a form for the Tire Industry Registration Center in the event there's a recall on these tires. 3 tires have the same serial number ending 0511 and 1 tire with 0611. I understand you can also fill out this form on the Internet so I'll probably go that route.

This is a good thing...finally a means to notify the consumer in a timely manner should material/workmanship issues raise their ugly heads. Have a great time at the rally. Bob

I went to the TIRC and there isn't anyway to register on-line. I guess I'll have to send in the paper card.
