Toad - sold MH

I just recently sold my Class A MH and will not be replacing it. I have a 2013 Chevy Sonic that is my wife's daily driver and was our Toad 4 wheels down withy the motor home. I like the Sonic but my wife wants a different car. The Sonic is in great shape and low miles. My question, what effect does the fact that it was used as a Toad have on resale or trade value in a non-Toad capacity. I can remove the base plates up there are still a couple of section in the grill that were cut out in order for the connection point to be re reached. Thanks

I traded two with all the towing equipment without any difficulty.

When I switched my toad equipped Honda FIT for a CR-V, Carmax declined to make an offer, but my Honda dealer offered a trade in price right in line with Blue Book. So I think you might need to shop around or get an estimate for replacing the grille.

Interesting. Carmax gave me an offer on my 09 HHR but I traded it in to Lexus.

I traded my last two with no problem. The one dealer took the time to remove the baseplates yet leave the holes in the grill. They tried to tell me it was going to take 8 hours labor to reomove the base plates since no one would buy the car. The car still sits on the lot three onths later. Who knows, someone might need a Toad vehicle.

I would first try selling it within the RV community with the baseplate, etc. installed. You might make out better that way.
