Gary, I have an 02 Monaco Knight, my GCVW is 26k, GVW is 22k. When I was investigating my engine tranny combo, I found the transmission is what limits what I can pull. The tranny, (Allison 1000 series) is rated at 26k...coincidental eh? I would check your drivetrain carefully, while you can overload you tranny and get away with it...sometimes. You will most positively shorten it's life.

Arthur: I assume you F150 is brand new. You might look into the possibilty to convert your rear axle to a full floater with hubs. I plan to do that whether I keep my Samurai for a toad, or even if I get a Jeep.
