We have a '06 Monaco Camelot, with separate turn and brake lights, and pull a '05 Honda Pilot. I've installed auxiliary light bulbs (Blue Ox Bulb & Socket Taillight Wiring Kit)in the Honda taillight assemblies. We also use an SMI Stay-in-Play for toad braking. The wiring and SMI brake worked flawlessly with our previous mh which, I think, had combined taillight and turn signals.
When I use a test light on the 7 pin tow plug connector on the Camelot, I get the following: 1 pin for tail lights, 1 pin for LT & brake, 1 pin for RT & brake, plus 4 other pins (12v battery, auxiliary, brake controller, and ground). The cable to the toad checks out the same way. However, when I check the lights on the toad, I get the following: select LT, both bulbs flash; select RT, no bulbs flash; brakes, both bulbs on; headlight, no bulbs on.
I'm at a loss. Is this one of those situations when one of those "converter boxes" is needed on the mh? Any ideas would be appreciated!
