We have the portable brake box in our CR-V and it has been a disappointment.

Has anyone here used the MSG system on their HONDA CR-V? Ours is a 2010 model. I know the MSG website says their system will fit but man, there is hardly any clearance now for extending the master cylinder forward.

Thanks for any info regarding the last gen CR-V that can be flat towed.

Geesh,

Yes M&G. I guess I was concerned about my sodium intake among other things.

After looking at all the options available, that's what I went with too.

I've been using the M&G Engineering system since 2001. It is so easy to hook up and go. I installed it myself on 4 different tow vehicles, two of them, 2009 & 2014, Honda CRV.

I tow a 2014 CRV and have the M&G system with breakway. It is a tight fit causing it to be VERY hard to change the air filter on the car. But, the system works great and is reliable.

Regards.

Thanks for responding. I did not see how the machined cylinder would fit and I bet it makes the air cleaner element a bear to change.

Thanks again,

Went with M&G. If you are anywhere near E.Texas go to their shop in Athens and they will lnstall the complete system in abt 3 hrs. Break system w/breakaway, 10k Blue Ox and wiring $3,000 all-in.
