Towing 4 down and having a car at the ready any time is great. Highly recommend it! Depending on the vehicle and equipment 4 down can be so easy and fast. Having a car when your RV breaks down and you are 10 hours from your destination with a daughter that needs to compete in a competition is priceless.

Years ago, we drove across country without a toad. Really wish we had towed something, especially when our 8 year old son at the time broke his arm on the CG playground and we had to quickly break camp and get him to emergency. But we learned,

Later on we started towing on a flat bed trailer. Never again will I do that. That was a pain.

We now tow 4 down and super easy. Occasionally we do go somewhere without the toad, but for the most part, it's with us. It's very common for us to park for a few days and go sightseeing.
