Tow bar for Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

I plan to start full timing at the beginning of 2016. Shopping of a Class A and a toad. Not yet settled on a coach, but I know I want to tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that will be loaded with a couple of kayaks. What capacity tow bar will I need? I think I might be pushing the limits of a 5k load bar, but anybody towing a JKU got any recommendations, suggestions? Thanks.

Go for a 7 or 10k tow bar and dont worry about lbs. Most vehicle-specific base plates for tow bars are pretty pricey--suggest looking around for a good after market front 4x4 bumper [to accommodate lights and winch--someday?????] --get one that will allow you to just bolt on the pull tabs for a tow bar.

Try a ReadyBrute / Ready Brake tow bar and aux braking. Rated for 10k. My Wrangler weighs in at roughly 4500lbs, with fluids. The brackets, receivers and wire harness are easy to come by. I did my whole setup myself for under $1400 and a day of DIY labor.

Agree on the ReadyBrute/ReadyBrake system. Couple it to something like a RockHard or similar bumper instead of a baseplate. If you don't want a aftermarket bumper check out the Currie baseplate.
