Having towed on a dolly and 4-down, if I were to go back to a motorhome and towing a dinghy, I would probably get a good quality dolly with brakes over 4-down. The tomes that space was cramped for the dolly, I pushed it back intot he site first and backed the motorhome up over it as far as possible. The rear of most motorhomes is plenty tallto get it back to the fenders.
It is big plus to be able to tow what ever front wheel car you choose and not have the expense of setting up multiple vehicles for 4-down towing. Adding the auxillary brakes tot he dingy is what gets so expensive as can some of the auto brackets.
In Texas, dollies do not need a tag.
