Tow behind (toad)

I have been looking at Suzuki's. Does anyone have other good ideas for a good tow behind vehicle.

What are you going to tow it with and what do you hope to do with it? Do you need space for 4 people. Do you want 4wd? Dolly tow of 4 down tow?

Are they still in business for service or parts more importantly?

Happy with our Ranger. Goes really well with my KISS way of doing things.
We can put bicycles or a motorcycle in the back, fits 5 people in a pinch (99% of the time it's just the 2 of us) and just pop it into neutral, put in the dummy key, release the park brake after hooking up the tow bar, and you're off.
I use a BrakeBuddy, so that's real simple too.

Works for us, but others are fine too.

Happy Glamping.

Jeeps seem to be the most popular. We went with a 2015 Chevy Malibu which has worked well but does tow a little low to the road. We've only had it, along with our MH for a few months.

Jeeps are pretty much the gold standard for toads. And they're fun. YMMV.

CR-V's used to be the gold standard but now that nothing newer than 2014 can be towed 4 down lots of people are going to some of the Ford and Chevy products. I. and a lot of other people aren't impressed with Jeeps. Yep, easy to tow but can be expensive and don't ride very well. I had a Grand Cherokee that was like a tank to ride in.
I specifically looked for and bought a lightly used CR-V in late 2016 already set up for towing with only 6,080 miles on it.

Love our Hyundai Elantra sport as a Toad. Standard trans so no complicated setup to go.

Bought new so had stay and play braking system installed. Blue ox tow plate and towbar.

Tows great behind our class c and gets really good gas mileage as well.

We tow a Wrangler. Good little vehicle for getting around town along with back/off road if you want. Not too good for taking longer trips in, but in those cases just move the coach. Been damaged 3x (I swear it seems like it has a target on it) and repair was not expensive compared to what I am used to seeing for similar damage. Soft top can be a PITA but oh well. Also they are kind of heavy so not a fit for some there. They also tend to hold value great.

The Suzuki Sidekick [2600 lbs] and Samurai [2100 lbs] with 4 wheel drive and/or standard transmissions make excellent toads. Problem is finding one that is still relatively stock. The offroad crowd love them. I have had both. Sidekick is like a Tracker and much better on the highway than the Samurai, although neither one are that comfortable for long trips.
