Tow Dolly and Toad electrical set up ?

So I just got my Acme Tow Dolly with Surge brakes and very impressed with the quality of it. Of course time will tell but now that I have it I thought I was all set with electrical hook up by going with wireless lites for the car but neglected to realize that though the dolly has surge brakes it still has a need for electrical hook up for it's own brake lites. I guess when towing I could leave the tow dolly lites off and just use the dinghy lites but wondering what others do? Does anyone have a similar set up out there and do have a set up for using both? I'm sure I could figure something out but even at my age I'm always open to suggestions from more experienced folks. Of course Pictures would help as well... Thxs to all !

I split my 7 pin output into two four pins, one for the dolly and one for the car. See post 17 of the thread below.

We use the same adapter referenced by kxbronco. I plug the 4-pin connector from the dolly into one side and the 4-pin connector for the car lights into the other side. Both are LED. It's easy and it works.
