Tow Dolly question

Can a Honda Element be towed behind a Class C, with the front wheels on a tow dolly?

I know that it can't be towed 4 down because it can ruin the transmission, but I just wanted to check if the rear wheels can be on the road while being towed.

Thanks for your feedback!

The owners manual should have the information.

As per this link to Honda Element manual, they say it can be towed 4 down.

https://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/...303O00198A.pdf

If it's 4 wheel drive, it can't be towed with 2 wheels on the dolly. Be sure to check your Owner's manual to be sure.

Also check the weights of your Class C and how much reserve you have for towing.

Hi JFXG:

I didn't get the Element yet as we're in the middle of choosing a Class C.

I read that you have to go through the gears when towing an Element 4 down.

Press the brake pedal, shift through all positions (P,R,N,D,L,2,1), shift to D then to N and let the engine run for 3 minutes, then turn off.

I just wanted to make sure I didn't ruin the transmission. Do you go through this procedure?
