Tow Dolly Tires - Load Range C or D??

Want to replace the tires on my Demco Kar Kaddy SS in preparation for a long trip out West. Would there be any reason to switch to a load range D tire v. staying with the standard issue "C"?

The difference in a range C and D is slight. The D is obviously rated to handle more weight, but unless the dolly axle is able to handle the extra weight, there is no advantage to the higher rated tires.
