Tow Dolly w/ 2016 Sonata Hybrid

Hi all. We are newbies and since we didn't want to get a new car, acquired a used ACME EZE-Tow dolly. Didn't want to just rely on the tow dolly lights (which will be near the front of the towed/toad) so thought we would tie the RV/dolly lights into the vehicle tail lights. Idea is/was to make up a wiring harness that could be connected to the vehicle tail lights via the existing wiring connector (after disconnecting tail lights from the vehicle wiring harness). Seems like that would make things more visible to those behind us. To do this, need to find male connector used by Hyundai so it would be simple disconnect of the car harness and connect in dolly harness but can't find male connector... Has anyone done this? Or does everyone just rely on the tow dolly lights? Other suggestions for the newbies?

I use magnetic tow lights on the rear roof of the car (2013 Mini Cooper Countryman). Fish the wire through the interior of the car and out the hood to a round plug with Y connected flat plugs. That way there are lights on both the dolly and the toad. Light kits are about 35 bucks for LED version. And they can be used on multiple cars
