Tow system for CRV?
We just bought a new CRV, What do you use to hook your CRV to your MH and can u give me info on the brakemaster

I am also getting ready to toad my 2012 CRV. I have the brakemaster and bar but have not purchased the skid plate as of yet. Any pros or cons on which brand is best ?
Anyone have any install pictures of the 2012 CRV install.

If you already have the tow bar then obviously you should purchase the same brand of baseplate.

I agree.
If you are towing on 4 wheels you may need a transmission pump if you are not a 4 wheel drive vehicle and can disengage all your wheels or else you will burn out your transmission real fast.
I had to out one in my 2 wheel drive jeep liberty. Works great.

Unless things have changed drastically, and I do not think they have, CRVs are 4 down towable in 2WD and 4WD configurations - check the owner's manual. Two of the most popular tow bar/base plate combos are from Blue Ox and Roadmaster. We have Blue Ox - liked the looks better when car was not attached to motorhome. IMO, you should also not tow without an auxiliary braking system. We use a Brake Buddy with our CRV. Some of the other units seem to be more popular. Enjoy your new towd.

We tow a Honda Element but I believe the chassis is similar to the CRV. The Roadmaster baseplate is exceptionally well made and fit the car perfectly . Although the manufacturer's instructions indicated some trimming of the grill plastic may be necessary it was not the case in my installation. (I did it myself). We use the Roadmaster Falcon2 towbar and a Brakemaster 9000 kit. Simple, easy and works perfectly

We too use Roadmaster tow bars on our CRV. Very nice fit on the baseplate. For brake system we have US Gear.

CRV Towing
We tow a 2010 CRV, we used Blue Ox all the way.....baseplate, tow bar, brackets, breakaway and cables, brake unit and even the drop down receiver hitch ( to insure the tow bracket is level between the coach and vehicle). This way, if there is a failure.....Blue Ox can't say it's because we used different manufacturers components mixed with theirs.
