Tow vehicle fire

Hydraulic fluid leak in engine compartment sprayed fluid onto our jeep tow vehicle which caught fire earlier this week. Very lucky to have noticed the flames in my rear camera. If you haven't practiced removing your fire extinguisher and using it PLEASE do so!! We were very lucky and should be back on the road soon. Why don't these MH have a heat sensor in the engine compartment??

Can you explain a little futher about how your Jeep caught on fire? I understand the hyd. leak and a oil mist covering you Jeep, but how did it catch on fire? Where was the source of ignition? Glad everyone is OK!

Main thing, glad your are all OK. Very good suggestion on the fire extinguisher. Sometime we take this stuff for granted. I know last year on our trip home, had it not been raining as hard as it was our toad would have been gone as well. A different problem (brakes locked up) but still would have been a BIG problem. Good luck and hope you get back on the road soon.

I'm with Palehorse, what caused the ignition??? Before you get back on the road, I would for your own safety, do some investigation and find the source of ignition just to make sure there is not some other issues. Glad everyone is OK...
