1 Can a Honda CR-V 2013 AWD be flat towed or does it have to be a 2 wheel drive?
2 Anybody doing it?

It can be towed. Friends of ours tow that model.

We tow our 2013 CRV AWD four-down! Very simple procedure outlined in the CRV manual!

Just be sure you do something about the problem of the battery going dead while towing!

You can pull the accessories fuse, put in a switch to disconnect this fuse, add a charger, or put in a larger battery.

Another soulition to the battery problem is going to a larger battery, there is a post on this forum on the size battery and the part no of the battery tray ( Honda Odessy battery tray ) . The CRVs battery is said to be to small for the car and gives problems.

Hi Mike,

Here is a recent link on the CRV saga. Flat towing your CRV is not a problem up to and including the 2014 model. Beyond that, a change in the transmission has made the CRV un towable.
The only issue towing the CRV is the battery and that is an easy fix. CRV is an Excellent Toad!
