rbates1944, You are going to get a dozen variations however for a Class-C application, I would go with an SMI Stay-In-Play DUO and the aluminum Blue Ox Aladdin tow bar, baseplate and bulb kit. I did and it's been working well for us!

I use the whole system. Ready Brute tow bar and Ready Brake. I pull a 2007 Wrangler Unlimited with our 2005 Dolphin 5376 on a workhorse W24. I did all the labor and bought all the parts for under $1400.00. So far no issues.

And the front of the Jeep

Rick, I have been considering a Ready Brute tow bar and Ready Brake but have a couple of concerns. The Roadmaster Falcon towbar I have used for years has worked generally well except for binding when detaching. If the vehicles are not perfectly straight, one arm has pressure and the other has tension and neither can be detached. The button to release the lock to allow the under pressure to collapse becomes impossible to press. I asked the Ready Brute tow bar manufacturer about this problem and the answer didn't really seem to address the issue. As an owner, what is your take on this? It looks like the Ready Brute has levers to release the locks on the arms to allow disconnection. How does this work in practice? Can they be released while under pressure? Rick

I have towed with this setup for well over 10k miles. My wife can testify that I have not made up any new swear words connecting or disconnecting the Jeep. The levers work flawlessly and do not bind. Because of the way the tow bar articulates there really is no extra pressure on either arm of the tow bar. I know you will be happy with this setup.
Cheers
