towed miles on speedo on dodge dakota?

looking at a 2006 dodge dakota do miles show up on speedo while towing? this unit has 56,000 miles and is set up for towing, was just wondering, also canyon or colorado same thing, miles show up on speedo when towed? thanks......

Yeah, I think Mr_D is correct. I doubt there are very many newer model cars that would register towed miles.

I am not sure about the 06 Dakota, but I have a 2011 that I tow. When the transfer case is in neutral there is no connection to the transmission and no miles are recorded. Also, in order to tow the 2011 the battery must be disconnected and vehicle basically dead. When I took the Dak to the dealer for a repair the service writer said, "boy you aren't getting very good mileage on those tires". Dakota had 9000 miles on the odometer but actually over 20,000 miles on the tires. I just smiled and left it there.

Just traded a 2006 Colorado we pulled for over 70,000 miles. It showed 21,000 on the clock. A great little truck. We just needed something bigger.

Anyone out there towing a ford edge??? If so, does it roll up miles as it's being towed... Abt to start towing wife's and was wondering....
