Towing 2015 Fusion

Hello all,
I have a question and I could use some input from people who have towed this type of vehicle. I have a 2015 ford Fusion and no it is not a hybrid. I would like to tow it behind my 2005 Voyage, but speaking with the folks from American trailer, they mention that because this vehicle has hydraulic steering it could cause damage to the doors on my car because when you are turning they said that the car will not turn correctly. Has anyone encountered any issues towing this way. He did recommend going up to a 9' tow dolly that would eliminate this issue. he also mentioned that other car dollies can damage the bottom of cars because the dollies are designed.
Thanks in advance.

Let me guess, was this gentleman also selling tow dollies? If your owner's manual says the Fusion can be towed 4 down, I'd go by that. Most cars have hydraulic power steering, it's actually autos with electric steering that have had issues and need to energize the electric steering to keep them from not tracking properly in turns. The issue of the door damage is complete nonsense, what's going to damage your doors if towing 4 down? You can also check this source if your vehicle is listed as towable.

The only tow dollies that damage cars is because the car might have such a low clearance in the front air dam that it drags in the steep ramps. Solution: use blocks to reduce the ramp angle and most can then load and unload without issue.

You might ask to see one of these 9 foot dollies, as the maximum width is 8'6" (102") fender to fender.
