Towing

I looking at a 2006 Fleetwood Bounder 34F with workhorse chassic was wondering if I can tow my 2008 Jeep Wrangler 4Dr 4 Wheel Drive with it.

Your Wrangler should weigh in at about 3800lbs curb weight. Adding 1000lbs cargo to it and you will still be under 5000lbs which is what you should be able to tow. Just make sure your hitch capacity is 5000lbs.

Make sure you add a brake system to your toad. Even if under 5k it will need one

I've towed a Jeep Wrangler 2dr over 15,000 miles in the past three years with no problems. It has oversize tires and wheels and probably weighs in around 3,500 pounds.

I have a question; Do you drop your drive shaft when you tow?

No I don't. Transfer case in neutral and transmission in Park. Steering wheel unlocked and good to go.

Thanks, that was the answer I am looking for.

Several people had advised me to drop the drive line. it is not impractical for me given my age with disability to boot.
