Towing

I have 2008 Winnebago with a 8.1 Rear Gas.
What size or weight can I tow

Dakota I think you are talking about the GM 496 cu engine mated to a Allason trans, that is a fine engine and trans and I would not be worried up to 5000 and I would bet your hitch is rated higher than that, I think you could tow about any car you wanted to but not all pickups.
Check with Winebago for their ratings if you are worried about it.

Towing

You should find two numbers on the main vehicle placard usually near the drivers seat on the wall. One is the max hitch wight and the other is the max tow weight. If you are towing 4 down the only one to use is the max tow weight since the tongue weight is very low with the tow bar. Mine are listed as 500# and 5000# and I tow a Saturn Vue at about 4600#. Hope that helps.

Almost surely a max of 5000 lbs with that chassis, but the actual limit is the difference between the GCWR (combined weight)rating on the placard by the driver seat, and the actual coach weight (get it on a scale). That number is subject to the rating on the hitch itself, but that is probably 5000 lbs.
