Towing a 1998 Wrangler TJ

Hello, I am towing my 98 wrangler stick shift for the first time tomorrow. The steering wheel locks so Im sure I have to leave the key in so the wheel will turn. Which fuse should I pull or should I disconnect the battery? Also should the 4 wheel drive/transfer case be in neutral? Last is what gear should the transmission be in? Its a 5 speed. Thanks, Marcdohc

I have towed multiple jeeps many thousands of miles

No fuse need pulled, no battery disconnect.

Transfer case to neutral
Transmission in any gear (manual), commonly used is 5th
Key clicked to unlock the column

Tow away!

As Vince says - that worked on the 2000 I used to have and the 1995 I have now. (be sure the [arking brake is released and the transfer case is in neutral - missed that once each but found out quickly with no damage)
