Towing a 2016 Scion iA
We are considering purchasing a new Scion iA to tow behind our Class C on all fours. It is a manual transmission and was told by the technical folks at Scion that you can do so with a manual transmission. So the question is has anyone done this and I am finding it impossible to locate the tow plates I will need.
We are open to either blue-Ox or Roadmaster.
Thanks all

I just checked the Blue Ox website. They list several years and models of the Scion but not an iA. They have a note stating if your model is not listed to contact them as your vehicle may qualify for their Fit Program. That is how I got my 2015 Colorado equipment installed.
They installed the Base Plates free.
Gave me a Aventa tow bar free.
Installed the light wiring for the cost of the kit.
Provided loaner car.
Arranged for hotel at corporate rate.
Call them you never know, that is how I found out about the FIT program.

Thanks, I will give them a call tomorrow morning.
Where in Colorado. We moved from Conifer to the Dominican Republic 11 years ago.

I guess my handle is misleading. I am not in Colorado, I drive a Red Colorado. I am in Texas. Good luck with Blue Ox let us know how it turns out.

Follow up. Test drove the car yesterday and it was great. That was the good news.
I did also check with blue-ox custom fit last week and they are still researching it...so no go there. Roadmaster... no go.
So bottom line is the iA is also a no go :( So sad as we really liked the car. So we are back in the market for another vehicle.
We also test drove the Ford Fiesta and did not like feel of the vehicle.
I will continue to post my saga as it unfolds.
For the mean time we remain tosdless

Does the owners manual say it can be flat towed? Don't take the dealers word at face value.

Mom doc, try the Ford Focus. The hatchback model has plenty of room (for us).

Focus
We actually drove one last week as well and were not in love with it. And did not have the hatchback available.
We are going to look at a Honda Fit this week.
