Towing a BMW

I am looking at buying an 89 BMW 325i vert. for my parents to tow. This car is an automatic rear wheel drive. Can this be towed rear down without a driveline disconnect, or a pump system? I am not familiar with the BMW setup.

Robert, I would recommend you contact the folks at:
Remco for your answer....In my opinion they are the "premier" source for "if it can be towed" answers...

Also,when you get their answer and need a baseplate and tow bar,you might check with the
Blue Ox folks....

I currently use a Blue Ox baseplate on my Chevy Trailblazer and an Alexus tow bar...

Thanks for the info. I called a Remco and they do not offer anything for a BMW. But did say thathat being an auto it was not towable. I guess my options are a trailer or backwards on a dolly. That or another car. But my mom has always wanted a beamer.
